The 56th Carbine Club Derby Eve luncheon. This event continues to be held traditionally, on the Friday immediately prior to VRC Derby Day at Flemington, heralding the commencement of the Melbourne Cup Carnival. One of the world's greatest weeks of Thoroughbred racing.
